8 years ago today - I asked my beautiful wife to marry me!  She said, “Yes” - and made me the happiest guy on earth!

And even though I’m in an amazing and blessed mood - it’s Tuesday - and time for a good rant!

My rant today has to deal with why 95% or more are destined to fail in working for themselves within Network Marketing.  Now when I provide that number tied to Network Marketing - there are probably a lot of people saying, “Oh that!  It’s just a scam!” or “That is a Pyramid Scheme!”

First of all - almost EVERYTHING if broken down is a Pyramid.  You almost always have the big guys (a smaller number) at the top making the most money - and the little guys (a much larger number) at the bottom making much less.  The part that isn’t true in most cases is the “Scheme” portion.  A true Pyramid Scheme or PONZI - is where money is being exchanged with the dream of being paid from everyone below you.  It’s illegal and it IS a scam.  However - it’s not applicable to everything related to Network Marketing!

Second - do you consider Real Estate a scam?  Are you aware of how many people get a Real Estate License - and never sell a house?  Not even one!  Does that mean it doesn’t work for everyone?  ABSOLUTELY NOT!  And the same can be said for people with College Degrees not gaining employment in their major, any licensed profession not taking off (Such as the example with Real Estate Agents above), and/or anything else you want to use as an example.

The point is - there ARE people making all of the above work!  They consistently prove the 95% that fail wrong!  They succeed in the face of challenges!  They do what others say is impossible!  They do whatever it takes!

So if you’re working job you dislike, you want more time, you want more money, you want to be your own boss in addition to working a job, and/or any combination of em’ all - what are you doing to work towards it?

What if I told you that you’d need to work almost a full week next year without pay - and with more expenses?  You’d probably say, “NO!”

That is EXACTLY what the average person is doing these day with commuting.  The average person commutes a total 38 hours per year now!  No pay!  Gas is up!  Upkeep is costing more and more!  Insurance is going up because your chance of an accident is increasing.

I didn’t just state that stat to make you made - but to prove a point.  Something that doesn’t seem like much per day - adds up to almost a full work week in a years time!  What if you found the same amount of time each day and worked on yourself?  In a year - you’d have a full week!  Double it and you have a two weeks!  Triple it and you almost have a month!  All from a few minutes to a few hours per day!

Even better - why not piggyback on that commute as well?!?  Imagine listening to Personal Development and/or a book on tape during your commute!  You’d have almost a work week of new knowledge and motivation in your mind per year!

My point is - you can ALWAYS find time to work on yourself!  Do it!
