Too GOOD To Be True?
Thats “Too Good To Be True!”
How many times have you heard that? Is it correct? Sometimes. But guess what else is correct as well? The reverse of that phrase. Let me illustrate what I mean with a story.
A LOT of people:
- Wake-up to an alarm clock every week day earlier than they want to…
- Leave a house they don’t own (And in MANY cases are behind on their mortgage)…
- Commute (Many times a very long and frustrating one) in a car they don’t own…
- Go to a job they don’t like…
- They work just hard enough not to get fired - and get paid just enough that they don’t quit…
- While there - they’re told when they can be sick, take personal time, and how long (if at all) they can take vacation with their families (Assuming they have enough money to do so. And MANY don’t!)…
- They leave that job for the commute home to FINALLY see their family for a couple hours - which usually involves watching and/or working on a computer system or home theater that was purchased on a credit card or same as cash deal…
- Then they go to sleep and try to get rest before starting the whole process over again (Many nights of which are sleepless - because they have more month left than money - and they’re wondering how they’re gonna juggle everything)…
- And after decades of this routine - the majority of them will hit age 65 either dead or dead broke.
I find that “Too BAD To Be True!”!!! You? Yet its not fiction - its fact!
Instead of being the American Dream…it’s the American Nightmare!
So when you tell someone about an opportunity - and they respond, “Yeah. That sounds too good to be true.” Ask them some tough questions and provide them with some straight talk!
In selling - there’s a Buyer and Seller. Don’t you dare let them sell you a needle to puncture the opportunity you’re representing! You HAVE to know that if you have 1% doubt then you’re out! You gotta be BULLETPROOF! You have to be the lighthouse sitting on the rock! You have stop allowing them to sell themselves the idea that it’s OK to settle with where they are - and sell them hope and opportunity!
Don’t be a secret agent with whatever it is you’re offering - SHARE IT! Help them! It’s true - that some will, some won’t, so what, and who’s next? But it’s also true what Albert Einstein said about insanity. He stated that insanity is doing the exact same actions over and over again - yet expecting a different result.
Guess what? If someone doesn’t like where they’re at right now - and they don’t do anything to change it - then the future will be the same or worse!
John Addison says, “If you’re stuck in the mud - you don’t try to crawl out of it! You gotta EXPLODE out of it!”
Help people live lifestyles that are “Too GOOD To Be True!” - and leave the ones that are “Too BAD To Be True!”
