Today was the 1st day of school for my kids – and after dropping them off I thought to myself, “Where in the heck did Summer go?!?”
The other thing I was thinking (Man I was doing A LOT of thinking today!) was, “Man alive I’ve been MIA from MY Social Media Sites!” I’m the Online Marketing Specialist for America’s Largest Message Notification Provider – One Call Now – and work within Social Media ALL DAY LONG! And because I’m also a husband, daddy, son, friend, homeowner, pet owner, and a dozen other hats – sometimes I fool
In essence – it’s (Whatever “IT” is to you) easy to do – but also easy NOT to do! One of my favorite sayings of all time is, “Whether you think you can or you can’t you’re right.” – and it’s SO true!
The Slight Edge tells us that – it doesn’t seem to make a difference in the act of doing it – but compounded over time makes all the difference in the world! Again – “IT” being whatever it is you’re interested in doing or not doing.
It’s all about consistency! One of my friends and mentors in Social Media is Jason Sadler of IWearYourShirt.com.
He recently marked his 600th day in a row of wearing shirts for a living! Talk about consistency!!! When was the last time you committed to doing ANYTHING non-mundane for 600 days in a row? I can’t think of ANYTHING! Is it easy for Jason to wear shirts? For the most part yes. But what you don’t see are all the hours surrounding promoting those shirts! Because it’s his passion – it might be easy to do – but it’s also easy not to do!
And even though you’re normally asked this on or around New Year’s Day – what do YOU plan on doing consistently after this? I’ll share some of my list.
- Daily Blog and Vlog (Video Blog) Posts
- Weekly Article Posts
- Daily walks and runs with my dog – Brutus
There are LOTS more on my list – but I’d love to see some comments sharing yours!
It’s 2:25a EST – so I probably won’t read ‘em tonight – but WILL tomorrow!
Until then insert some consistency in your life – and have a DYNAMITE night!

Finding something you are passionate about makes the small disciplines over time much easier. Jason has provided consistent blog post while wearing shirts and having fun. Just enjoy the process and find your passion. Nice post Wes
