FitRULES | Day 16

Before I go into my day – I’d like to stake claim to a victory.

Our kids attend Wednesday Night Church – and it was our turn to feed everyone, so my wife decided pizzas would be best (It’s a top pick among ALL the kids AND freed us from having to cook for 30 people).

I went to pick up the kids – and what did they have?  Almost 2 full pizzas!  One of my BIG weaknesses/temptations!  The car smelled DELICIOUS!  I brought it in, transferred each incredible piece from box to frig container, and come down here to my War Room to blog.  Without one taste of pizza!  I won’t say it was easy – because it wasn’t!  But I know it’s not good for me – and would take lots of time to make up for eating it on the Elliptical.  So take THAT pizza!  I win this battle!

My day started with 30/30 Protein (30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up), 1 Tablespoon of Coconut MCT Oil, and heading off to the gym.

I tried AGAIN to hit a fat burning heart rate zone.  It’s HARD going that slow on the Elliptical – but I slowed down EVEN MORE from yesterday!  After looking at my watch 400 times during the workout (Trying to stay at a certain heart rate) – I STILL couldn’t go low enough for fat burning!  Almost my entire workout was logged-in under Cardio.  Once again – I was able to control my breathing much easier and my sweat was cold during the workout.  As previously stated – I don’t know if that’s good or bad – but it felt good.  What I’m going to do now is just keep things slow and steady – and not worry about where my heart rate zone is.

After a visit to the sauna, hot tub, and shower – I went straight from the gym to a Fit Bodywrap * appointment again today.  Again – it was HOT today.  This combo of doing a 5K, hitting the sauna and hot tub, showering, and then doing the wrap is a sweat producing machine!

I’m going to do a weight and inches report (Hopefully for a LOSS!) on Friday after I get back from everything.

My calorie intake was way below my target:

1773 In | 4358 Out | 1940 Left For The Day (At the time of this post)

10 Days in a row UNDER Max!  BOOM!

I’ve found myself eating 2-3 larger meals.  I’m going to see how spreading that out over 6 meals works.

That’s HUMP day in a nutshell!  I hope you’re day went awesome!

FitRULES | Day 15

The 2-week mark has been OFFICIALLY crossed!  It’s Day 15!

Today – I started my day off with going directly to the gym (After I took my Coconut MCT Oil and 30-grams of protein).

I wanted to do 3.1 miles (5K) within a fat burning heart rate zone.  It’s HARD going that slow on the Elliptical!  After looking at my watch 400 times during the workout (Trying to stay at a certain heart rate) – I STILL couldn’t go low enough for fat burning!  Almost my entire workout was logged-in under Cardio.  It looks like I’m going to have to lower my heart rate to about 110-115 to hit that fat burning zone.  One thing to note – I was able to control my breathing much easier and my sweat was cold during the workout.  I don’t know if that’s good or bad – but it felt good.

After a visit to the sauna, hot tub, and shower – I went straight from the gym to a Fit Bodywrap appointment.  And that was HOT today!  Check out this post from https://www.facebook.com/fitrules I posted:

FitRULES | Day 14

Hey, it’s MONDAY!

And in the world of my Fitbit Surge Dashboard – that means it’s the beginning of another workout/diet week!

It’s also the two-week mark of my new healthy lifestyle.

That lifestyle has consisted of working out A LOT more, avoiding/not adding sugar, no fast food, no dairy (Other than a Protein Powder Supplement), no meat, 30 grams of protein within 30-minutes of waking up, tracking everything I eat/drink (with calories), Coconut MCT Oil in the morning and evening, adding an occasional Fit Bodywrap, and just generally thinking about what I do, and choosing the good over the bad.

My family is very supportive – but there ARE things that pop up on occasion that throw the temptations into gear.  Ice cream, cookies, snack chips, and PIZZA!  But – I’ve been good and avoided the trap of eating them.

Anyway – that brings us to the present again.

Today was a heck of a day!

I started out with a Fit Bodywrap * for about 65 minutes.  This is my 3 time having done it.  Every time it gets more and more relaxing!  It’s 130-degree Infrared Heat – and it REALLY gets you sweating!

Next – I headed straight over to the gym.

I made the decision to start doing a 5K every day on the Elliptical (My two previous weeks – I’d done 2 miles and 2.5 miles).  I DID hit the 3.1 miles (5K) mark – but didn’t do it within the Fat Burning Heart Rate Zone I wanted to.  I have yet to target that zone for the majority or even a large portion of my workouts so far.  So that’s going to be something I work on hitting.  For my age – I “think” I’ll have to keep everything in an 112-132 range.

Next – I’m going to start doing DDP Yoga.  I ordered my package almost 3 YEARS ago!  I’d say it’s about time to put it to use!  And yes – I totally realize just how ridiculous this is of me!  Diamond Dallas Page would kick my ass for this!

This is the UNOPENED Yoga Mat I’ve had sitting in my War Room for the last several years.  Equally ridiculous!

I read the intro to the program and started watching the 1st DVD.  I thought I’d be able to do this in my War Room downstairs – but I’ll need a place with higher ceilings.  So as to not interrupt everyone in the living room upstairs – I didn’t start tonight.  I’ll resume tomorrow when it works better for everyone.  Including doing a video of myself to document my beginning and where my stretching abilities are (Spoiler Alert – they SUCK).

My calorie intake was way below my target:
