What do you dream of?

I’m betting it’s not out of touch.

This site is about pursuing a Fit/Heathy Lifestyle – so that’s the dream I’m going to focus on.

Regardless of the book, video, post, and/or audio based on getting results – there’s ONE component present.

What?

ACTION!

Resolutions, plans, intentions, and even dreams are GREAT – but without the above-mentioned action, they’ll go nowhere!

Remember the following quote I reference on occasion –

“Energy and Persistence Conquer ALL Things.” – Benjamin Franklin

The energy mentioned in that quote IS action.  And the persistence is repeating the actions over and over again until the desired results are met and exceeded.

So…

If you want to lose weight – YOU CAN DO IT!

If you want to run 5 or 10ks – YOU CAN DO IT!

If you want to eat healthier – YOU CAN DO IT!

If you want to gain muscle – YOU CAN DO IT!

If you want to be more flexible – YOU CAN DO IT!

Just take ACTION today!

Working out and pursuing a healthy lifestyle is often thought of in the terms of a diet or a time frame.  But the truth is – it’s a journey that you have to go on.

Where you are didn’t happen overnight – and where you want to be won’t happen overnight either.

Remember slow and steady wins the race.

If you keep going – you WILL reach your desired outcome.  But after you reach it – you HAVE to maintain what you’ve achieved.  Otherwise, you start slowly moving backward on your journey – and lose ground!

So regardless where you are – start, keep moving forward, and enjoy the journey!

FitRULES | Day 34

“In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can.” – Nikos Kazantzakis

When it comes to DECIDING on ANYTHING – I want you to think about something one of my mentors – John Addison – talks about.  If you think about the words Homicide, Pesticide, and Algicide – there’s one thing in common.  The death of something.  It’s the same thing with Decide. When you DECIDE – it’s the death of ALL other options!

So believing and deciding it’s time for a healthier lifestyle – you HAVE to kill your old way of thinking and habits.

For instance – my daughter is a Girl Scout and you probably know what’s coming.  It’s THAT dreaded time of the year when the cookies arrive!

ARRRRUUUUGGGHHH!

Old Me would have poured a HUGE glass of cold, whole milk – and would have devoured several sleeves – and quite possibly the whole box – of cookies!  But New Me knows that behavior will cost me for SEVERAL days on the Elliptical – not to mention the fact that it’s junk!  Sorry Girl Scouts!  They ARE good – but NOT good for you!

You have to KILL those old habits by DECISION not to repeat them.

And I’m PROUD to report – NO cookies or Whole Milk have passed my gums this year!

Want to change?  BELIEVE you will – and you WILL!
